Well, here we are again. It’s almost time to lavish gifts on those we love the most. And every one of us ladies has a man in some form or another–husband, boyfriend, brother, father, uncle, weird but lovable neighbor–that we include on our holiday gift list. Sometimes shopping for a guy can be tricky. Unless you have enough communication with him to have overheard him mention some wants recently, you might be scratching your head, trying to come up with an appropriate gift. Well, we’ve been around a few guys, and through experience, have a few gifts to recommend that just might be a hit!
My other half recently discovered that his skin is getting drier and more sensitive in his old age. He’s tried a couple different brands of moisturizer, and his favorite by far is Jack Black. This set includes full size bottles of face cleanser, moisturizer, and shaving cream. If you don’t want to commit to the full sizes, a cheaper option is the Jet Set Traveler Set – $25 (also makes a good stocking stuffer).
Loungemaster Slim Wallet – $30 (normally $59.50)
Wallets are a classic Christmas gift for men. If you don’t want to go the standard brown or black route, this dark green number is stylish and unique (also love the decorative perforations). This brand also makes a slightly different version in black.
Framed Photograph of Alma Mater
If the guy you’re buying for really loves sports and attended a college with a decent athletic program, how about a matted and framed photo of the campus stadium? The version above is of Camp Randall at University of Wisconsin-Madison, from Replay Photos. Available in several different sizes.
This personalized keychain comes from Etsy shop akaoriginals. You can have the metal plate customized with dates that are important to your guy–birthdays of children or family members, wedding anniversaries, meaningful events. I’m guessing that if you have only a couple dates for this tag now, you can always have more added in the future, either by this shop, or anyplace that does metal stamping. Another great stocking stuffer.
Red Envelope Wall Valet – $104.96 (normally $149.95)
While not in use, this minimalist valet folds up flush against the wall. A great space saver, while still allowing him to him to lay out his clothes when needed. You can’t see it in this picture, but there is a bar for pants, and I’m sure the catchall on top will come in handy around the clock.
Here’s a handy doohicky from Etsy shop JcLeathercraft that would make a perfect stocking stuffer for any tech savy guy that still enjoys a minimalist, natural look.
Royal Doulton Bulldog Figurine – $58.99
I’ve had a personal request from the mister for this little bone china pooch. There is a method to his madness. In the current James Bond films (why hello, Daniel Craig), M keeps this figurine on her desk, and at the end of Skyfall 007 ends up with. If your guy is a Bond fan, he’ll appreciate this.
A great stocking stuffer for the guy with lots of electronics. These cloths come in handy for cleaning any electronics with a screen, which most of us have multiple of these days. Toddy Gear also sells cool home-button covers for the iPad and iPhone.
This watch is very popular with the guys over at Dappered. If the guy you’d buy this for already has a lot of watches, you can always just buy the FFF band, which is what truly sets this product apart anyway. Having multiple watchbands allows a guy to change the look of his watches from casual to dressier and in-between.
Original Penguin Canvas Rucksack – $79.90 (normally $130)
This cool “man bag” is being offered by the flash sale site Rue La La. You have to sign up with the site in order to purchase it, but signing up is free. They often have great products at substantial discounts, like this OP bag that’s marked down from $130. A very stylish way for a guy to carry his necessities, especially if he’s a bike commuter.
