These days most of us aren’t surprised to be paying around $50 for a garment. But fifty bucks is a lot of money, and where possible, it’s always nice to pay less for a quality piece of clothing, shoes, or accessories. Welcome to the 50 under $50 series. For the next five weeks we’ll be bringing you 10 garments from a specific category, each under $50. We’ve already covered dresses, bottoms, shoes, and tops. Today is the final chapter: accessories.
If you love bright colors and big bold prints, this scarf is for you. Get ideas for different ways to tie your scarves by using this great resource: The Knot Library Master List.
If your style is more subtle, this feminine floral print is really beautiful. Plus, some of the shades of pink are close to Pantone’s color of the year: radiant orchid.
BaubleBar has paired with Nordstrom, and they have some really fun pieces. The bright blue stone drop earrings especially seem so fresh for spring after such a long winter. Other colors available as well, including these fun bright pink ones.
The pearl drop earrings look like lily of the valley blossoms to me, which I always associate with the change in seasons. Really simple and pretty, these are great earrings to wear with any ensemble when you’re in a hurry. A sassier option are the petal drop earrings at right–those pastel blues and greens are so spring-like.
LuluMay Double Brance Necklace – $31.92 ($39.90); Shell Bracelet – $26.90
We always like to feature an Etsy purveyor when we can. These delicate, nature-inspired pieces are really appropriate for spring, and I always think that yellow gold looks especially nice during warmer months.
Re-finer Things in Life Wallet – $34.99
ModCloth always carries such whimsical items. This darling wallet features all different kinds of birds–hopefully you’re seeing some of them return to your neighborhood as the weather warms up.
Wearing white during winter was long a no-no, but in recent years people have begun to ignore that rule. I’m all for it, but I still think it can be dicey for the durability of your accessories to wear white shoes and carry white bags if you live in a climate that gets lots of snow or rain during winter. It’s safer to wait until the weather starts drying out (like now!). This beautiful white wallet/clutch features pinwheel cut-outs that allow silver detailing to peek through.
One of my favorite finds–I love this yellow tote printed with old-fashioned bikes. This would be great to casually sling over your shoulder for errands, or to use when going to the farmer’s market. So darling.
That wraps up our 50 under $50 for spring. Come summer, we’ll start all over again!
