I’ve got to say, I’m loving this sneaker trend. Don’t get me wrong, I adore a good pointy flat, or a platform wedge. Heck, I even dabble in pumps on occasion. But the higher the heel, the sorer the balls of my feet, knees, and hips. So flats, or low wedge heels are pretty much a must for me nowadays. And sneakers are the ultimate comfort. Luckily they’re trending hard this season, even with dressier get-ups. So give your tootsies a break, and enjoy the supreme comfort, and high fashion, of a supportive sneaker.
Let’s check some out!
Simple slip on’s are really popular this year. These have a fun pattern, but are neutral enough that you’ll be able to pair them with lots of outfits.
Boden Hotchpotch Trainer – $88
Super cute sneaks from British brand Boden. These also come in a blue floral that are perfect for spring.
A lower profile sneaker that will allow your feet to breath, thanks to the perforation. Merrell is a very comfortable brand, so these will likely see a lot of use, and should last for at least a few years. Also available in coral and blue.
If bolder patterns are more your thing, this collaboration from Keds and Kate Spade might be for you. Or maybe you’re just in love, and want to shout it from the rooftops?
Airwalk Livv Slip-On – $39.99
Don’t pay $39.99 for these. They’re sold through Payless, so you’ll be able to get them for much less. Available in multiple color choices. An easy way to add a pop of color.
Converse All Star Sneaker – $49.99
Converse aren’t the most feminine of shoes, but with the additional of eyelets, these chuck’s get a bit more girlie.
Sporty, and super comfortable looking. Remember when Carrie Bradshaw use to run through the streets of New York in her stilettos? I bet her feet would be better off now if she had run in these instead.
Tom’s Cloudscape Hightop – $64
These sneakers from Tom’s can transition year round. They’ll be cute with jeans in the cooler months, but will look skater chic with a black dress or denim skirt in the summer.
Old Navy Color Block Sneakers – $26.94
If you don’t wear sneakers often, but want to try the trend out this year, Old Navy is a good place to get them on the cheap. They’re offering the above sneaker in 4 different color options. Click here to see all the sneakers they have right now.
LAMB Wedge Sneaker – $219
And these totally defeat the purpose of a sneaker. Run SJP, run!
